RECEPTION IN AUCKLAND. (Pke United Prkhs Association.) 1 AUCKLAND, March 17. Tho Hororata reached Auckland this afternoon. The Auckland draft aboard was given a rousing reception. The next-of-kin met the steamer in a terry boat, and a seaplane dropped a message of welcome aboard. Crowds lined the waterfront, and a salute .fired from the forts. A shortage of coal, due to lack of trucks, has resulted «in supplies tor the city electrical power station running lower than is desirable. .Tno Mayor stated to-day that it was in the' interest of all branches "of public and private activities that normal conditions of trade should be restored as quickly as possible, and nothing could contribute to the restoration to a greater degree than the rapid resumption of maximum railway services.
