ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
( The Superintendent/of, Police has ibeen ; , informed that George Brand, farmer, aged 43 years, and married, committed suicide ; ' by cutting his throat at Stirling yesteruay v : v at 10.30 a.m. An inquest will bo - held - before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., at Stirling-to-day. - Mrs Sara Blagdon, a! lady aged 77 years, and reading at 16_ Nicholson street, _ Souths Dunedih, was, admitted to tho Hospital on •• Saturday suffering from bruises to heir head -"'u and wrist, caused by being knocked down ■ by a motor car whilst preparing to enter' a tram in front of the old Post Office. Tho injuries are reported not to be of a very serious nature. Frederick ■ Kane, while driving a dray - L loaded with firewood at Waitati on Satur- ; I day, had the misfortuno to have the dray and contents capsize on him, with the result . that h,e received injuries necessitating his' removal to tho Hospital, where it was found he had sustained a fractured leg, - along with other minor injuries.
