KING'S THEATRE
The weekly change of. programme, which was made at tho King's Theatre on Saturday afternoon, introduced to notice a remarkably tine series of pictures, the outstanding feature being a screen adaptation of Sir Eider Haggard's well-known book "Jess." This film is entitled "Heart and Soul," and as the leading role is played by tho famous emotional actress Theda Bara, the drama is a strikingly powerful one, full of tensely exciting scenes and fraught with a deep interest. "Heart and Soul" can be commended to picture-lovers as a sound story admirably acted and splendidly produced. Much of the action takes place in the Philippines, and tho natural beauties of the magnificent tropical scenery lend an added charm to the picturo, while no fewer than 2000 horsemen aro said to take part in one of the principal scenes which occurs near the end of the picture, and which constitutes a most imposing spectacle. Other good pictures in a well-diversified programme, of sustained interest are a comedy entjtled "Winning a Husband," "The Cultivation of Coffee," 'French Army Horses," and a scenic picture showing the attractions of the Palacc of Fontainbleau. _ The same pictures will be shown again this evening.
