(Received Jan. 26, at 5.30 p.m.) i The Interstate and Federal Conference resolved that Australia was justly entitled to be indemnified by enemy countries for the monetary cost the war had entailed. The sub-committee on repatriation presented a report recommending that upon all advances by the commonwealth to States in connection with repatriation the rate of interest be 1 per cent, less than the cost to the commonwealth, and the maximum individual advance be £625.
