TO THE EDITOR. Sie—lt has been reported that the Lyttolton Borough Council has been discussing the question of Sunday trains. It is ap parent to all of us that it is about time wo of the v7atlins district had a meeting over tho question of getting- our usual train rervice, and romethmg added on co the usual, to hero the inhabitants to emerge from t e back-blocke occasionally If anyone requires to 'ransart .business in Dunedin, th* time occupied is &boat three days coming and going The fact that board and lodging have to bo added on to the train faro is a consideration. Our JMoi.tlny and Wednesday servico was curtailed. It •would bo a" great benefit to many to get to Dunedin and back in tho one day. The Catlms people have deen very patient in tho past, but Barely now that so many men are returning from tho jvar sufficient hands could bo obtained to restore the service at an early period.
