SEMEN'S QUARTERS
THE MOERAKI AISTD MANUKA. NEW ZEALAND SEAMEN SUPPORT MEN'S DEMANDS. (Pes United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, December 20. With _ reference to the manning of the Moeraki and the Manuka at Sydney, Mr W. T. Young, general secretary of the Seamen's Union, has received a telegram from tho secretary of tho New South Wales branch to the effect that a meeting of tho members on Monday night last passed a resolution that they would man tho Moeraki and Manuka on conditions acceptable to the branch—namely, that living quarters be given to tho crew on deck. The Central Executive of the New Zealand organisation resolved that tho action of the Sydney branch he endorsed, as being in conformity with the demand made by tho New Zealand Union for the past 20 years.
