MINING.

The managers of the following mines report: —Ohinemuri: Rich tollurido ore is coming to hand from Nα 5 stope, north block. Waitaugi Consolidated: A further bft has been driven on the main reef in iNo. 2 level. This completes a total of 765 ft from the No. 2 main rise. There has been no change m the appearance of the reef or country. A little favourable mineral is showing m most of the ore. R.ising Sun • btopmg has,been continued on No 1 reef in >,o. 3 block-. The reef in size and vpluo is much the same as that previously'reported. The drive north on No. 3 reef has been advanced to 30ft. Tho reef in the face shows a width of 2ft. The ore broken, although of low grade, shows an improvement in value. During tho wecl--55 tons was broken.
