r-^? e *?" ns mana S M °f tho Murray Creek Uold Mm ng Company reports for September as follows:—No. 4 level: North—Stoping has been in progress continuously during the past month, and for the last two stopes taken off the reef has shown an improvement, running from 2ft to 7ft wich has been carried on in tho hanging and foofcwall reefs. The hangingwall roof has been extended south for a distance of 40ft. A rise is now beino- put up at a point 25ft north from tire of JNo. 4- level' to connect with the hanginsjtwall roof. The rise is-at present up for a distance of 14ft. I expect to strike the reef after rising another lilt. No. 3 lovel • North—Little or no change has taken place here during the past month, the reef remaxmng from 2ft to 10ft in width The work in progress on the south end of No i. .intermediate is stopped for the time being owing to labour shortage. No 2 level: When Jooking through the ' old stopes over No. 2 level, north of main cross-cut, last week, I found that a fall nad taken place, and hae exposed a resf m wide, with payablo prospects.
