OCTAGON THEATRE

The picture version of Hall Caine's wellknown story "The Deemster" is drawing a large measure of public patronage to the Octagon Theatre both afternoon and evening Of all tho stories which have contributed to weave a web of rich romance around the 'picturesque Isle of Man and its quaint and conservative people, "The Deemster" must claim a large sharo of oredit. The picture presents clear-cut character studies, throbs with conflicting emotions, and tho seascape and rural settings could not easily be surpassed. Absorbing in its human interest, the production holds the attention throughout, notwithstanding the fact that the brightest moments in the lives of tho principal characters aro rounded off by tho darkest tragedy.
