EVERYBODY'S THEATRE
Everybody's Theatre is recognised as a long-established homo of the best photoplays released from the best studios, a recognition which takes the shape of large audiences and pronounced demonstrations of approval. At both sessions of the new programme yesterday there were capacity houses. "Tho Purple Lily," a World drama of merit, is the chief subject. It features such artists as Kitty Gordon, Muriel Ostriche, and Frank Mayo, and tells of the wife of a Canadian backwoodsman who, wearied of the monotonous round of life in the " north woods," committed the folly of listening to the lure of a man who promised life and excitement in the city. After many dramatic situations, disillusioned of her dreams of jollity and excitement, and having been instrumental in deceiving a good man, she goes back to the "north woods," wondering if the husband whom she finds she truly loves will take her back. The story is beautifully portrayed. Among the supports are: "Thirst," a Keystone comedy, chapter 11 of "A Lass of the Lumberlands" eerial, and a Topical Gazette.
