TW was a sharp rise in the price of laiisman Consolidated shares yesterday afternoon, when sales were transacted at 7d and 9s 9d. ihe cdosing quotations were 9s lid and 10s, buyers and sellers respectively. IJierc were reported sales of Waiin Grand Junctions at 12s 6d, and buyers on the market offered 12s sd, with seller at 12s Bd. There was a close market h u f e \ bat no rewiiitGd. Waihis had a buver nt, £1 18s and a seller at £1 l£s 6d. Bank of New Zealand shares .were in demand at £17 10s and £12 10s but there were no sellers. For New Zealand Insurances £9 19s was offered without result.
