Cable Association. an. , • • SYDNEY, July 23. ihe Minister of Education states that during 1917 the number of school children medKally examined in New South Wales ■was 64,804, and of these 62 per cent were found to be suffering from physical defects sufficiently serious to require notification. This is : an increase of 5 per cent, compared with 1916. (Received July 23. at 7.20 p.m.) Fine rains continue, including a fall over the most drought-stricken areas. Agricultural and paetoral prospects have been immensely improved for the time. BRISBANE, July 23. General rains have fallen, and the drought has broken up.
