OPERATIONS OF BRITISH AIRMEN. TWO OFFICIAL REPORTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association ai*t Renter. LONDON, July 23. (Received July 23, at 11.25 p.m.) The Air Ministry reports: We dropped a ton of bombs on railway 6idings at Lunes and attacked the Badisahe aniline factory. Good bursts were observed, and a large explosion caused in the factory. South-east of Zwiebrucke we bombed three aerodromes. Our low-fliers hit five trains, bombed _ and machine-gunned searchlights and anti-aircraft guns; all returned. We attacked on Monday an important powder factory at Rottwell, hitting a big shed, with the result that several others blew up, and the fire caused was seen for 60 miles. All our machines returned. Sir D. Haig reports hostile artillery activity south of Arras and east of Nieppo Forest. Low clouds on Sunday almost prevented flying, but on a small part of the front various targets were bombed, including a railway station, and a direct hit was obtained on an ammunition train. Five hostile machines were brought down and four British machines are missing Our night fliers were able to raid the bulk of the front. We dropped 13 tons of bombs on railways at Seclin, Menin Lille, and Cambrai. '
