In the House of Representatives, Mr Watt, Acting Prime Minister, announced that the Imperial Government had extended its purchase of Australian wool clips for a perioQ covering the currency of the war and one full year after its termination. A flat rate of Is 3jd per lb will be paid for greasy wool, plus charges to cover expenses •from warehouses to f.o.b. steamer. It is estimated that the returns from two clips only will exceed £100,000,000.
