RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT AT OAMARU. (Fbom Oce Own Corbespondent.) OAMARU, May 15. At a public meeting in the Opera House this afternoon the following resolution was passed unanimously" That this meeting of Oamaru citizcns desires to express its warm appreciation of the strenuous and well-directed efforts of the Right" Hon. David Lloyd Georges to secure victory for our arms, and it strongly deprecates the paralysing criticism to which he has been subjected." The motion was proposed from the chair by his Worship the Mavor. and seconded by Mr E. P. Leo, M.P., 'and was spoken to by the Rev. J. L. Robinson and Mr W. Milne. It was decided to request the Acting-Prime Minister to transmit the resolution to Mr Lloyd George. DUNEDIN SCOTSMEN'S GREETING. The Dunedin Burns Club has decided to cablo a, message of chcer and appreciation from the Scots in Dunedin to the British Prime Minister. The president (Mr W. Brown), at the moiithly meeting, in moving that a cablegram be sent endorsing the message from the workers of the Woolwich Arsenal, said that ho thought such, a message would form words of cheer to the groatest man of all British lands, who was carrying on the fight for tbo world's freedom against a liost of enemies—powerful castes, political opponents, pacifists, and others whoso work was done in the dark. The resolution was carried with gToat enthusiasm.
