There was a good audience at the Octagon Theatre last evening, when the current programme was enjoyod. The principal film, They re Off, ' featuring Enid Benwith well-deserved approbation The Power of Decision," tho five-part photo-drama, starring beautiful Frances Nelson, which-will commence to-day at tho Plaza Theatre, is said to bo a play of great mental and moral stimulus. The central idea of the play is that every mortal has Within himself the God-given power of decision. "The Power of Decision" raises many important questions. Tho supporting pictures are tho latest G&zetfce, an aniusin" 1 comedy entitled "Sticky Fingers," and as an extra "The Girl and tho Gamo" third episode. This serial will be shown till Saturday afternoon only. Tho current • programme at the Empire Theatre has had a very successful run. Tlie Little American," featuring Mary Pickford, easily comee into the front rank of pictures shown in Dunedin.
