FOOTBALL

ZINGARI-RICHMOND CLUB. Mr R. C. Procter presided over tho annual meeting of tho Zingari-Richmond Football Club, which was held last evening. Thero was a largo attendance of old and new members. Tlio president extended a cordial welcome to Lieutenant W. Biggar, a returned soldier and an old member of tho club. In moving the adoption of the report \nd balance sh'eet Mr Proctor mentioned that both tho toams poit in by tho club had como out on top—a result which was duo to the work of thoir coach (Mr Ilobbs). Tho- committee had built a small committee room, which had been invaluable in helping to keep the members together, and Mr P. Marett, who gavo his time free for tho building of tho room, deserved' spceial thanks. He expressed his pleasure at tho club's strong financial position, which reflected credit on the secretary. Tho club had lost by the deaths of Messrs A. Davis, A. Collie, J. Baird. and A. Pellowe on active service four good players and sports.

Mr J. B. Simpson seconded tho motion, and congratulated the teams on their successful play. The motion was carried. Tho following office-bearers were elected: President," Mr It. C. Procter (re-elected); vice-presidents—Messrs A. Low, J. B. Simpson, J. Watt, B. Collie, ,T. W. Brown, C. Statham (re-elected): lion, secretary nnd treasurer, Mr W. Cameron (reelected) ; committee—Messrs Hobbs. Hamer, Kellan. Procter, TUlvshort, Marott. Oniric, Barron: delegates to O.R.F.U. — Messrs B. Spiers. TV. Brown, and R. C. Procter: auditor. Mr Geo Smith (re-elected): club captain. Mr T. Ivollnn (re-o.lected); practice ewtain, Mr F. M'Naughton. About 40 new members were elected. It was resolved to open tho season on Anril 6.

Mr A. Low tho president on his election to the 0 R.F.U. In replv to a ouestion. the president stated that Professor Pi.rlc represented the T'rnversitv. and Dr Evans was a vice-president of tho union.
