Hro. G. Orantre presented threo P.C.JI. diplomas to Bros. (i. Crawford, Walter Halsev, and A. Harrison. Bros. G. Crawford and W. Ilalsoy wero unable to bo present, as they are in eump preparatory to goiiiK to the front. iSistr-rs R. Halsey and Crawford reooived tho diijlomas on bohiif of their brothers.
At the annual mci ting of tho Otago Law Society tho following office-bearers were appointed :—President, Air A. A. Finch; vicepresident, Mr J. A. Cook; treasurer, Mr F. Calvort ; members of council —Messrs J. C. Stephens, A. S. Adarns, H. Webb, A. James, C. N. Scurr. and B. S. Irwin.
The monthly meeting of the Concord School Committee was held ]nM. wwk, Mr W. Stefilo in the chair. The Head Master reported closing lost year with 133 on the roll, and reopening this year ho removed 14 names and entered tho names of five now pupils, leaving a total of ISO pupils. It was decided to hold the school picnic on March 1 at tho rohool ground. Mr Chrstie reported having visited tho school and found everything m good order. Mr Steele was appointed visitor for the month.
