THE GAMING ACT

FURTHER ARRESTS MADE. (Per United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, February 14. Yesterday afternoon the police arrested Henry Martindale, Clarence Lesustir, and Henry Walls for breaches of tho Gaming Act. Fourteen men, including 11 arrested in tho morning, appeared before tho court this morning. Eleven wero further remanded.

Jn the eases against O'ConneU, Knight, and A very, for being found, without lawful excuse, in a common gaining house, the polico had no evidence to offer, and the casra were struck out. Counsel for defendants stated that, they went into the shop and made legitimate purchases while the polico were still in occupation.
