jgPECIAL ILLUSTRATED FRUIT INDUSTEY ISSUE OF THE OTAGO DAILY TIMES. FEBRUARY 26, 1918. The publishers of the Otago Daily Times have pleasure in announcing their intention of publishing with the issue of TUESDAY, February 26, a Special Supplement devoted lu the Fruit-growing Industry of the Dominion in all its phases. Tho text of the articles is exceedingly comprehensive, and has been written by a specially qualified man. It is largely devoted to tho culture of the Applo and its great value as an article of diet ; but, in addition, there will bo special contributions by authorities on the cultivation of other fruits, and articles compiled from data secured in many quarters, which will further add to tho interest and ■value of the Supplement, which will be mado additionally attractive by the use of an artistic design printed in colours as a frontispiece, and embracing a heading—" Fruit for Health and Wealth." It is now generally believed that tho Fruit-growing; Industry will in the future prove an important factor in tho commercial life of tho Dominion, and interest in the progress of tho industry is steadily increasing. It is by the publication of sound information relating to the production of the fruiis for which the Dominion climate is adapted, and advocacy of their increasing use as common articles of food, that tho public interest will become more and more centred in tho welfare of this rising industry, and the wide dissemination of information such as that the Otago Daily Times special Fruit Industry issue will contain will no doubt be welcomed by all who have tho interests of the trade of the Dominion at hearl.
