MAKING GAS FROM PETROL AMD AIR. Petrol .air-gas is not a new idea. In the year 1831 a machine was invented for this purposo which opened tlie eyes of the public as to the possibilities of petrol gas. In 1902 the hollow wire system was introduced, rind became such a favourite system that to-day thero are hundreds cf thousands of these plants in use. The hollow wire system has been improved upon from time to time, and now we have the 1917 model of a petrol-mis plant. It burns 95 per cent, air. only 5 per cent, petrol.
