A WAIMATE RESIDENT'S DEATH.

\ (Pee Unites* Pkess Association.) TIMARU, November 24. Mr Alfred Beswick, prosperous orchardist and florist of Waimate, and formerly for many years borough overseer of works rifc Timaru, visited Timaru on November 2, left an hotel early the next morning, and disappeared. Yesterday a pocketbook belonging to him was found on the shingle beach, about a mile north of Timaru, and a search for him was continued. His body was found to-da.v among the rocks a little further north. Mr Beswick was an esteemed citizen and a member of tho Waimate Borough Council. His affairs are all in order, but he was mentally distressed by domestic trouble.
