EVERYBODY'S THEATRE
A bogus matrimonial knot, that needs a lot of unravelling, was presented on the programme screened for the first time yesterday at Everybody's Theatre. In it the troubles and adventures of "A Self-made Widow" supply the theme to the pictorially illustrated story. The heroine, cleverly featured by Alice Brady, is Svlvia Smith, and is an attractive, romantically inclined country lass, who journeys to town for the purpose of eloping with a rascally lover, who lias already incurred the responsibilities of matrimony. On arriving fn town Sylvia is met by her lover's wife.and children, and is induced to take part in a mock marriage with a man who is supposed to have committed suicide. She then takes up the position of widow, but Fitzbugh Castleton, a mnTonaire, the supposed suicide, has not shuffled off #iis mortal coil, but returns from an adventurous, trip to Aufftralia, and finds the captivating Sylvia posins? as his widow.
