AUCKLAND JUGO-SLAVS
-> WISH TO FIGHT WITH SERBIANS. LOYALTY TO ALLIES AJWIRMED. (Pee United Pbess Association.) • AUCKLAND, October 29. A representative meeting of Jugo-Slave of the Auckland province, held to-day., reaffirmed loyalty to Britain and the Allies, and carried resolutions that this meeting requests the.Government to remove the restrictions upon JuechSlarvs in the matter of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force; that the Government devise means whereby Jugoslavs may join the. Serbians at Salonika to fight direct the national foes; that the Jogo-Slavs are prepared and willing to devote all their energies to such essential industries or other works as the Minister of Internal Affairs directs, but that all work so done be at the same rate of pay and under similar conditions aa pertain to the E&peditionary Force. A resolution was also carried expressing regret that the Slavonic residents of the dominion should bo classed in the same category as those ef the Central Powers, and stror.gly urging that the Government and pubfic investigate their case, with a view of removing the existing misunderstanding and haying them made subject to the same rights and privileges as other allied residents.
