SULTAN OF EGYPT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, October 9. (Received Oct. 10, at 7.20 p.m.) The death is reported of the Sultan of Egypt. [Hussein Kamil, son of Ismail Pasha, a former Khedive, succeeded to the 'throne of Egypt on the deposition of Abbas Hilmi (who. was dethroned for conspiring with the, country's enemies) in 1914. Hussein Kamil was born in 1854, eo that he was 63 years of age. Ho has loft one son and three daughters living, his youngest daughter having died in 1913. He will be succeeded by his son, Prince Kamil-ed-Din (born in 1875), the succession to 'the throne having in 1866 .been mado from father to son, instead of descending, after tho Turkish law, to tho eldest heir.]
