PRINCESS THEATRE
Tho cnrrenfc vaudeville programme at the Princess Theatre is headed by a most entertaining turn by tho Clmrleno trio, comprising extraordinary juggling and clever Xylophone playing to a running accompaniment of laughter-making bantor by the comic member of tho trio. Taylor and M'Quoin are firmly established as favourites, and had to extend their time limit again last evening. Another entertaining turn is that by tho Scottish Bxiirty Comedy Company. The second half is occupied by th? .Folliee of Pleasure in "Thn New Coachman," ■which provokes much laughter.
—On drainage operations on tbe Houraki Plains, Aucldand, a total of £216,578 has been expended so far. The land in' occupation is 38,994 acres, subdivided into 294 sections (exclusive of town sections), valued at £243,851.
