Discussing; the new method of packing frozen carcases, at a meeting of tho Gisborne Sheepfurmers' Frozen Meat Company, the chairman of directors (Mr de Lautour) remarked that it was found to be impracticable as regards the frozen carcases in store, so that local factories would have to start with 200,000 to 250,000 carcases in store. As regards the now season's meat, the opinion of tho freezing companies was that with tlio scarcity of labour and tho extra time required, it would, bo found almost impossible, when tho pressuro in tho factories was at its greatest, to continue this packing. .An experiment had been conducted by the Gear Company, which resulted in 12 carcases an hour, so that would mean as large a gang for tho packing as for the killing. . It was not the time it took in cutting, but it was tho packing. Howowr it was all an experiment, and it was a mattor they could not count on much this season, but they would do their best to n-et in all they could. ° WOLFE'S SCHNAPPS is suitable alike for men and women, and is in every sense beneficial.
