PLAINTIFF AWARDED £1250. ' (Peb United Press Association.) W ELLINGTON, August 24. In tho Supreme Court Mr Justice Hoskin" heard legal argument in connection with the case, Apielia. Hay wood v. tho Union Steam Ship Company. This was a claim for £2000' damages for the death of plaintiffs husband, a waterside worker, while employed on one of the company's boats. The case was tried on May 24, when the jury awardrd plaintiff £1250. His Honor to-day entered judgment for that amount.
