Union and New South Wales shares were also quoted on several occasions, and continue firm. Insurance shares have not been very much sought for, quotat'ons being confined to Nat : onal and Standard shares. Iluddart-Parkors have been in good demand, and several sales' have been transacted in the ordinary issue. A parcel was sold yesterday at £l'l3s sd, and there was another huyer at £1 13s sd. Westport Coals are easier, being on the market at £1 9s 9d. A little business was done in ord'mry Stocktons on Thursday, and the market closed yesterday with a bnver Rt 8s 9d and a seller at 9a'ld. Dominion Rubbers are also easier, and aro now sought at £1 l°s 6d, and an offer at £2 Os 6d. New Zealand Itefr ; grrat : B£r Btork firmed in consequence of the announceof a new issue of theso shares. The £10 issue was on offer yesterday at £23 and a parcel was sold at £22 10s. Woollen company shares have como in for the usual mauiri««, and show a slight firming tendency in some_ cases.
