J The North-East Valley branch of tho W.C.T.U. held its' monthly meeting on Tuesday. Tho meeting was opened with a hymn, prayer, and a passage of Scripture. A retiring collection was taken for tho Mine Sweepers' Fund, and over £2 was raised. Tho Rev. Mr Nelson, of Glenaven, gavo a helpful and inspiring address on the name-of.tho union.
