fho following is the substance of the annual report to be presented at the congregational meetin'g this evening:—" The church services, have been well attended. The session desires to unite with the congregation in its appreciation of the hi«-h quality of the Rev. S. Orr's pulpit work and of his ffenial presence in his visits to the homes of the, people. Death has removed throe valued members of session—Messrs Alex. Brown, Joseph Smith, and Rev J Memies. Tho Sabbath school has continued its work steadily, despite the recurring chanjzes in its staff. The school is well staffed with 42 teachers, and is now fully graded. The roll of honour now contains 84 names. During the year. 16 were wounded, four returned, and three (William Milne, D. M. Wilson, and Fred Allen) paid the supreme sacrifice. The membership roll stands at 454; 17 were removed by death and 14 by certificate, while 17 were added by profession of faith and 15 by certificate Sister Agnes has continued her faithfulconscientious labours among the Endeavour societies, Bible classes, and women's societies, and has also aided in visiting the sick and aged. Tho missionary enthusiasm is unabated, £239 being contributed to foreign missions and £160 subscribed towards the salary of the congregation's foreign missionary, the Rev. A. Miller. The P.W.M.TJ. has had a very successful year, and has contributed over £100 to missions. The Young Women's Club raised £53 for church improvements and missions. The Bible classes have a total attendance of 64. The choir has now nearly 40 voices, under the conductorship of Mr G. Mirams. The Ensocieties are in a healthy condition, with 65 active members, and have been prominent in missionary activity. The total receipts from all sources amount to £1537 4s Bd—an amount in excess of any previous year,—and the expenditure was £1552 12s 3d. The Sustentation Fund is lowqr than last year at £268 3s 6d, but the church collections are much higher, totalling £504 19s 9d. A reserve fund was established during the year by taking out 20 shares in the Bruce Building Society.''
