Leonta and Sir Solo gave a good exhibition over five hurdles at a fast pace. Marconi and Te Onga did a similar task, but not so fast. To Onga ran off at one hurdle, but otherwise lie gave a safe display. Kew and Bodenham went once round t-lie steeplechaso fences, jumping well. Arthur George jumped four hurdles smartly. Miss Satnon and Sir Fisher outpaced Don Francisco over three hurdles. Master Strowan, Paremata, and Tangihaere went once round the fences, all jumping wall. Art and ! Steperina negotiated tlireo hurdles well. Stone Ginger was better than Golden Butterfly over a round of fences. Miss De Yal and Prince Delaware sprinted half a mile in -Iflsec, and Powder King and Merry Lad beat Kirkby over seven furlongs in tain 35seo. Most of the other horses did steady pacing.
