OCTAGON AND KING EDWARD THEATRES.
J. he Argylo Case,'' a well-known deteotive drama, was presented in picture form at the Octagon and King Edward Theatres on oaturday. The subject is one that hi«f commanded great popularity with the pio-ture-lovmg public throughout Australasia, and, to judge by the reception accorded its initial presentation in Dunedin, ifcl popularity will undoubtedly be sustained here. It is a detective drama honeycombed with complicating episodes and mysterious situations, which are so skilfully conceived as to keep the audience in a more or less nonplussed state until the final scenes, when the mystery surrounding the murder of John Argyle, the multi-millionaire, is solved and the ends of justice vindicated. "The Argyle Case" is produced in such a manner as to remove it fax above the ordinary detective picture drama. The popular actor, Robert Warwick, under whose direction tho picture was produced, has undoubtedly initiated his career as a producer with great success. _' The, Argyle Case " also has associated with it a number of minor subjects, all of which claim no small degree of attention.
