LADIES' HOCKEY.
LADIES' .HOCKEY. A Grade. Momona v. University No. 2.—These teams met on the Oval on Saturday, University playing OHO short. Tbe match resulted i n a win for Momona by 5 goals to nil. Miss Tliompeon (4) and Miss iveiison scared lor tho winners. Otogo r. St. Joseph's.—llao match Otago v. St. Joseph's was played on the OvaL *fW a keenlycontested game the match resulted in a win lottie former by 3 goals to 2. From tie start Otago pressed the St. Joseph's backs, and after some good wort'by Otago forwards a goal was secured. The ball was no sooner in play than they ecored] and jost before half-time St. Joseph's scored. In the second spell play was very fast and brilliant, and St. Joseph's brought - the score up to two oil. After some excellent passing, Miss Yorston soored o very fine goal for Otago. The game became very fast and exciting in its final stages. The scorers for Otago were Misses Sanderson, Wills, and Yorston, and for St. Joseph's Misses Murray and Pallor. Tho game -was controlled by Mr Courtis. E Grade. The match between Konini and Coinmba resulted in a draw, the score being one all. Miss Foley scored for Konini and Miss Black for Columbo. Taioiri met Eavensbonrne on Jnbiloe Pa lie on Saturday nnder favourable conditions, and an excellent game resulted. From start to finish the gamo was very strenuously fought, both teams showing good combination. Dnring the play ons of the liavensbounie pCaycrs received a rather nasty hit with the bill. The game ended in favour of Taieri by one goal to nil, the score*' being Miss Guest. Mr E. Wobb noted as referee.
