Mails close at the Chief Post Office as under:— ____ TUESDAY, AUGUST 14. For Lyttclton and Christchurch, per Monowai, at 1 p.m. Late-fee letters at 1.30 p.m., and 2 p.m. on steamer. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15. For Cromarty, Puysegur Point, Te Oneroa, and West Coast Sounds, by South Express (to connect with Hinemoa) at 7.30 a.m. Late-fee letters 8 a.m. Mails for South Sea Islands by next available steamer. Mails for United Kingdom, Expeditionary Forces abroad, America, and all oversea countries., including Australia, will be defrom time to time by tho best route without special notification. Letters usually superscribed " via Suez" should now bo superscribed " for first direct steamer." _ Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. Theodore Kino, Chief Postmaster.
