FOODSTUFFS IN BRITAIN.
COMPLETE GOVERNMENT CONTROL URGED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 29. (Received Julv 30, at 5.20 p.m.) The trades union co-operative societies held a demonstration in Hyde Park, at which they demanded that the Government • should purchase all imported foodstuffs, commandeer articles, and sell at a fair price to" rich and poor alike. They urged that the price of the quartern loaf be fixed at 6d.
