Chetwin, Frtzroy street,, CccveTreceived_ word by cable that his son, Edwin Chetwin, has been admitted to the Brockenhurst Hospital with severe gunshot wound in the right leg. Gunner Chetwin was educated at the Macandrew Road School, and afterwards at the Otago B°ys* High School. He was a member of ?. Southern Football Club, and prjor to enlisting with the 17th Reinforcements was m the employ of Messrs Bing, Harris, and Co., Dunedin. PRIVATE CRAWFORD. Private Hugh M. Kay Crawford, who died from wounds in the head on May 6 was the only brother of_ Mr A. J. Crawford '."J?- 1 , street, Dunedin), Miss Crawford ,(High School, Waimate), and Mrs Angus (Rangiora). He enlisted with tho 13th Reinforcements a year ago last Easter. He born in Dunedin, but spent part of his early life in North Wales, England. He was educated at the District High School, Oamaru, and at Canterbury College. He was for many years on the clerical staff of Messrs J. and T. Meek, grain. merchants, Oamaru, and afterwards for a number of years on the staff of the Lands Department, Nelson. He took a warm interest in cricket and football, being an old member of the Oamaru clubs. He was also a good shot with the rifle. He was hold in high esteem by the officers and men of his company (Wellington_ Infantry). Ho was buried in a Irttle British cemetery, with military honours.
