"Aladdin from Broadway" was shown at tho Queen's Th.ea.tro on Saturday, before vory large audiences, an absorbing and roinantio storj being watched with closo attention and interest. "His Family Ties," a comedy in which Charlie Chaplin appears, also finds a- welcome placo in tho programme. The same pictures will bo shown again to-day. In the new Mutual, "Tho Manager of the B. and A.," which commences to-day at the Plaza, Helen Holmes, tho popular hcroino of tho railroad dramas, is starrod in a. vigorous railway story. As usual with this class of drama, tho action is rapid, strong, and convincing, whilo exciting and thrilling- incidents follow enoh other closely throughout tho five parts. The story of thoplay is keenly interesting, and shows tho rise of a worker to the position of manager of the " B and A " branch of tho big railway company, and his determined fight to mako good his ultimate success and the winning of tho ox-manager's daughter. Political and newspaper lifo are cleverly introduced, and the scenes in tho big railway workshop aro also well done. Tho other pictures will meet with approval. The different sessions at Everybody's Theatre wero well patronised on Saturday, and tho current programme much enjoyed. Tho star film is "The Foolish Virgin," featuring Clara Kitnball Young. *' In tho Diplomatic Service" is. proving a big attraction at tho Emniro Theatre, and has firmly established itself • in popular favour. The other films ably support tho big picture. ""WHERE ARE MY CHILDREN?" Tho remarkable propagandist picture, "Where Are My Children?" which it is claimed has broken all records throughout Now Zealand, begins a 10 days' season at the Octagon Thratre, commencing at the matinee next Wednesday afternoon. The picture will be shown twice daily, once each afternoon* and night. Box plans are now open at " The BristoL"
