SHORTAGE OF SHIPPING
■ ■<» .— ACCUMULATION OF DAIRY PRODUCE. (Per United Pskss Assoctatiox.) WELLINGTON, June 22. A joint conference of tho Efficiency Board, tho Supplies Board: of Adivioe, and the Board of Trade, to which the Government referred tho matter of shipping and storage problems, and which,, after a sitting, adjourned in order to obtain information regarding storage space, reassembled to-day. Tho statistics wero before the meeting, but no_ information was available. At the conclusion of tho conference a report will ba forwarded to tho Government on the subject. A deputation, representative of the dairymg interests of both islands, waited on the conference to speak about the effect on the dairy industry of the shipping shortage and congestion of products in the stores. It was admitted that the position of tho ■daayy industry was unsafe. The now season will commence in two months, and there will still be a heavy hold-over of last year's product. •
