Although the number wa<s not large, it was quite sufficient for butchers' requirements, and prices were on an average of about 10s below last week's rates. The general entry of stock was not quite so laTgc as has been the case lately, the alterations in the railway service being partly responsible for this. The entry of store sheep was a medium one. Fat sheep were fairly well -represented, and, so far as lambs were concerned, they were about 1000 less than la«t. week. Fat cattle were in good supply, though the' sale opened only moderate! v well.
