COURSING
A meeting of tho Otago Central Coursing Club was held on Saturday evening. Mr B. S. Irwin presided. Several accounts were passed for payment. Mr Irwin referred to the Easter meeting at Omakau, speaking highly of the sport. Ho said ho hud not seen a better coursing meeting in any part of Now Zealand, 'ihe hares were m splendid condition, and well trained, which spoke well for Mr W White, who hail looked after them There were very few kills in the two days' mooting The visiting sports wore well pleased with the arrangements made on their behalf A special vote of thanks was accorded Mr J. Watson for his services at Omaku.ii Mr Irwin said that a3 long as coursin'' was conducted on clean lines, and with well-trained hares, he had no hesitation in saying that it would go ahead after the war.
