MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
The second series of matches arranged for National Desorvc units has boon completed. This series was opened in July, and was continued till March. The conditions were:—Seven shots at 25 yards, decimal target (70 possible), 18 men per side, 10 highest to count. Throe teams failed to shoot all their matches. P.oslyn and Caversham teams each won eight out of the nine matches fiTcd, Roslyn finishing with an average of G39.8 (out of a possible 700 per matr-h). or 9.1 points per shot for 700 shots fired. Mr \V. Raines (City No. 1) won the tronliv, with an avearge score of 6G.4 per match. He was closely followed by several other riflemen.
