Mitchell; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr K. Robertson; committee—Messira J. Long, L. Quinton, and P. l'oote; delegates to Hockey Association—Messrs Footo and L. Edwards; auditor, Mr J. Hogg. Sympathetic reference was made to the deaths in action of Messrs George Nioolson and Roy M'Leod (two of the club's vice-presidents). Seven members and ex-members have now made the supreme sacrifice. The matter of fixing tie date for commencing; play was left in the hands o£ the committee. OTAGO ASSOCIATION In its thirteenth annual report the Otago Hockey Association says that last season was a very successful one. six (warns taking part in the competition. It was found impossible to preserve the two grades, and the best interests of the game were served by cunning one competition. One new club, the Dunedin Training College, was affiliated with the association. The association obtained- three grounds on the Southern Oval, which helped to keep up the standard of play Training College defeated Gymnastic in the final match by 3 goals to 1. No interprovincial matches were played. After a great deal of work by tho executive, sufficient funds were raised, and a present of free sticks was made to six schools, which took up the game. The executive is negotiating for four more school teams to enter the competition. Already nearly £A is in hand, for the purpose. The finances "are very satisfactory, the balance sheet showin ga credit balance oi £11 14s 10d. The roll of honour compiled has been steadily increasing, and now stands at the I total o! 150.
