REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE.
FIGURES FOR 11 MONTHS.

The net increase 'under the heading of annual appropriations only amounts to £11,573. A comparison of individual departments, howover, shows that thoro has bee_n a considerable increase of expenditure in the Post I and Telegraph Department, Internal Affairs, Agriculture, and Education funds, whilo Railways and Lands and Survey show a considerable decrease. The expenditure of the Public Works Fund for the eleven months of this year as compared 'with the eleven months of last year discloses a net decrease in tho latter period amounting to £883,432, while tho position of the Public Works Fund up to February 23 'shows that on that date there was a balance of £722.640 available for expenditure".
