BRISBANE, December 20. (Received Dec. 20, at 10.15 p.m.) The death is reported of . Sir Arthnr Morgan, Lieutenant-governor of, Queens-i land.

[Sir Arthur Morgan was born at Warwick (Q.) in .September, 1856. He entered the office of the Warwick Argus, edited and owned by his father, and became sole proprietor. He was Mayor of Warwick for five years. He was for some years a member of the Legislative Assembly, some tune Chairman of Committees, Speaker, Premier, Chief Secretary, and Secretary for Railways. After two years' Premiership he, upon the death of tho President of the Legislative Council in 1906, was called to that Chamber and succeeded to the Presidency, and became Lieutenant-governor. He was created a Knight Bachelor in 1907.]
