Owing to false statements and rumours having been made and circulated to the effect that a trust, generally designated as the American Meat Trust, is, directly or indirectly, interested in or connected with the business carried on b.y the Now Zealand Refrigerating Company (Ltd.) in the dominion and elsewhere, and in particular in the Inilav Works recently erected at Wanganui, notwithstanding the absolute denial which has been published by the Company; we havo been instructed by the Company to'give notice that if at any time hereafter it shall come to the notice of the Company that these false statements and rumours are being maliciously continued to be made, circulated, or published, ACTIONS FOR DAMAGES against the persons making, circulating, or publishing such statements will be taken by the Company accordingly.
