Mr Ward Price says : The French artillery is battering open, the door of Doiran, and their outposts are already within a kilometre of the town, but the allied policy is not to hurry. Austrian gunners are manning the enemy's batteries. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SALONIKA, August 27. The British repelled all Bulgarian counter-attacks on the recently-captured positions at Doiran. DEMDAHISSAR OCCUPIED. THE ©REEKS ANGRY. ATHENS, August 27. Official: The Bulgarians have occupied Demirhissar (east of the Struma, in Grecian Macedonia). ' The Bulgar occupation of Demirhissar has increased popular anger in Greece, and the patriotic movement is spreading. BULGARL4N CAVALRY MUTINY. GfERMAN OFFICERS MURDERED. ATHENS, August 27. A regiment of Bulgarian cavalry mutinied at Uskub, where two German officers were found in the barracks, having been assassinated. RUMANIA. BULGARIAN TROOPS WITHDRAWN. The Times. LONDON, August 27. The Bulgarian staff apparently feels safe at least for some weeks from attacks by the Rumanians, because they have brought back a division recently sent to the Rumanian frontier.
