A patriotic concert to provide extra comforts for members on active service was held under the auspices of the Roslyn Bond of Hope last Friday night, when the proceeds wore most gratifying. Mrs B. Cameron, Mrs Mafcterlon, Misses Ins Wakelin, Benton, E. Dixon, Myra Williams, Bessie Thomson, Prye, White, and Pellett, Messrs Mastcrton and Paterson, Sergeantmajor Gilbert, Masters R. Webster, L. Beath, and .Sutherland, nine Band of Hope girls, and five Kaikorai school boys contributed to the programme. The sale of work, held on Wednesday at St. Hilda's Collegiate School, realised the sum of £113 2s 9d, which has been distributed as follows:—Patriotic Fund, £58 2s 3d: Melanesian Mission, £20; Diocesan Mission, £5; St. Mary's Orphanage, Dunedin, £12; Kilburn Orphanage, London, £12; expenses, £6 Os 6d.
