The returns of the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Co. ('L.) for the last two iourweckly penod», ended respectively June 7 and July 5, compare as follows, the figures for the latter penod being those >n parentheses :—Ore treated, 22,106 (23,066) tons— viz., Mount Lyell 14,000 (14,552) :ons, and North Lyell 8106 (8514) tons; aho .590 (441) tons concentrates. Blister copper produced, 495 (545) tons, containing 491 (639) lons copper, 28,849 (29,984) oz silver, and 527 (716; oa gold. Official Note.— Reduced output ot blister copper in the first period due to increase in middle pioducts, ovwng to interluption to converting operations caused bj "stop work" meeting on June 26.
