ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

Jensen was taken to the Hocpitai, and last night was icportcd to bo <toir>g as well as can be expccted. A distressing acadcnt by which Mrs Low is, wif« of Mr Charles William Lewis, of Peel street. Wcsiport, 10. 5 t her life, occurred on Sunday week on litr husband's farm -at Orawaiti (sajs the West Coast Tunes). 1j appears Miat, Mis Lewis went out in tho morning in company with her sistci, Mrs Norton, to her husband's farm. Mr Lewis was logging up and burning off some bush on his mixtion, and deceased and her sieter were in the act of tailing some lunch to him. When on their way they had to pass a fire, which had been started on Satuidav. The fire was logged up around an old birch tiec, and when passing it Mrs Lewis picked up some i\oocl that was ljing near and was in the act of placing it on tho fire, when a piece of the tr"e broke off close to tho top. and in fallins struck her on the head, death be.ng instantaneous.
